Breastfeeding your manBy CADEN of Picmoney.com
I bet you read the title of this hub and mentally squirmed. And I can’t blame you,
breastfeeding an infant is something that is incredibly beautiful, but it’s a different story
when the recipient is 50 and has a pot-belly and a beard!
But don't think that you are the only woman who has ever asked (or been asked) Take a look at
this little graph that I generated with a cool tool called google trend. It shows almost 450
people searching a month!
Why do I care?
Hell, I'm a mother of two and was married for over 9 years before my hubby worked up the
courage to ask. My husband and I have a great relationship and to be honest - I've always
wondered a little bit - so I conducted my own research - because who wouldn't be worried about
some of the risks.
Full disclosure time....I can honestly say that "breastfeeding your man" adds an extra bit of
spice to my marriage. But I still felt dirty so I wanted to find some information that would
put mine (and hopefully other women's) mind at rest
But in trying to write this piece I found that that nearly 95% of women continue having
intercourse within 4 months after their pregnancy. There was actually a lot of information I
found thanks to google that helped me out.
Since milk (colostrum) is ejected during orgasms,
it happens more often than you would think while having intercourse. Of course by breastfeeding
your baby before you and your partner get intimate lessens the chance because less milk is in
the breasts
Are their any risks to breastfeeding your husband?
Like most husbands, mine loves play. After we had our child he wasn't going to stop his
obsession either. I found out that generally it is okay if your husband or baby is breastfed.
In some circumstances if you have a yeast infection it is very easy to spread to your baby or
husband. Definitely get checked before breastfeeding your child or husband. If not you may
contract a form of "thrush" from their mouths.
This infection is often spread in the form of
diaper rash, or vaginal infections. These infections are fairly difficult to clear up
but can be by using proper medication for your local doctor.
Another common problem is if you have herpes, either cold sores (Type 1) or genital herpes
(Type 2).
Herpes can be spread through intercourse obviously but also through kissing and
breastfeeding. Both types can spread very rapidly and you and your husband should get checked
before getting intimate with play or any sexual activity. Even your child can spread it
to you as a mother if he has a cold sore.
What does it mean for me?
As you can see, breastfeeding your husband is perfectly safe if neither of you have any
infections. As with all intimate physical contact you will need to be check for any diseases
to keep your family safe. With this information you should now know there is nothing to worry
about as long as you are disease-free.
