Vitamin D.
It's almost ironic that over the last two decades women have been warned to stay out of the sun
and considered a tan or exposure to be dangerous for the complexion or worse to be a precursor
to cancer of the skin. So women are wearing makeup and skin conditioners that actually keep
the sun's rays from doing thier job to help your body create a steady supply of Vitamin D.
A woman's exposure to the sun is complicated due to the fact that to meet this requirement the
sun has to be in a certain position and the at the correct angle for the proper UV rays to meet
their target. So only masters of sun measurement can guarantee that they are getting the proper
amount of Vitamin D. The rest of us will have to find Vitamin D supplements in order to be
proactive in caring for our breasts.
Calcium is a mineral that researchers have also suggested may help to protect healthy breasts.
Studies have shown that Vitamin D and calcium seem to work together, so it may be the
combination of both that makes it a preventative substance. Since calcium is important to
women for healthy bones anyway, every woman should be ensuring that they are receiving the

The second step in maintaining health is genetic testing. Researchers have found that
abnormalities in the genes BRCA1 and BRCA2 can led to cancer. This doesn't mean that an
abnormal BRCA1 and BRCA2 guarantees cancer. But learning if you are a carrier of one of
these indicators allows you to discuss other healthy breasts preventative measures with your
doctor.
Genetic pre-testing is still a new field in woman's health. Researchers predict that more genes
will be revealed in the future that will impact diseases and cancer concerns. Women should talk

plastics chemical can break down into a form of synthetic estrogen which can cause health

eating utensils and even in some baby bottles. This chemical gets into the food rapidly once
the container has been heated, and it is considered to be very active once it gets into a person's
body. the body is unable to expel this substance and it is harbored in the tissues much as
other forms of estrogen.
Our bodies can only be as healthy as the substances that we put into
them. Decreasing extra sources of harmful substances will go a long way in
helping woment to maintain healthy breasts.
The fourth step in being proactive in caring for your breasts is to have recommended self and
radiologic examinations. Women should be checking their breasts for discernable changes
monthly.
In addition, women should visit their doctors every year for a full physical exam.
Women at a high risk for cancer and those over the age of 40 are encouraged to have a
mammogram every year. The sooner cancer is caught, the higher the chances are of sending it
into remission for good.
The fifth step in how to be proactive in caring for your health and appearance is
exercise. Chest and arm exercises can help to tone and lift the breasts. Since breasts do not
contain muscle tissue, the only way to help them is to exercise the muscles around and under
the breasts. Stretching exercises for the chest and arms can even have a positive effect on
the skin around the breasts.
The sixth step in how to be proactive in caring for your breasts is maintaining a healthy
weight and exercising for overall benefits of flexibility and ease of movement.
These steps also lead to a healthy heart and a healthy body. Proactive health habits
can reduce the risks of almost any disease or form of cancer.
